About Camp Mumsy

Though only launching in 2015, the original Camp Mumsy, originally known as “Mumsy Camp” has been in operation since the 1970s when Carol “Mumsy” Parnow began taking her 12 children up to their family cabin in the small town of Graeagle, located in Plumas County. As the families began to grow, Mumsy continued taking her 25 grandchildren by herself to the cabin each summer, where they enjoyed all that the Sierra’s had to offer, including hiking, fishing, camp fires, and making many unforgettable memories. This tradition continued up until Mumsy’s passing in 2014.

Despite Mumsy being gone, her grandson Tim, wanted to continue her legacy with hopes of spreading the same love and joy for adventure that Mumsy once gave to anyone who was lucky to attend Mumsy Camp.
